•On Wednesday, September 28, Alberto Navarro, in his capacity as director of the IBA BIC, chaired the meeting of Latin American Bar Leaders, which was attended by 22 lawyers from different Latin American jurisdictions, who represent the respective professional associations of the continent.
•Also present were Kimitoshi Yabuki (Japan), Ken Murphy (Ireland), Berit Reiss-Anderssen (Norway) and Steven Richman (USA). The four mentioned directors of the Bar Issues Commission.
•On the occasion, the lawyers Jörg Menzer (Romania) and Peter Bartlett (Australia) presented their respective plans for the case of being voted, next month, for the position of Secretary General of
the International Bar Association.
